Permaculture
Cairns is a non-profit community group.
We meet once a month
to plan and implement projects to raise awareness of sustainable living
and to circulate knowledge and resources within the group.
We invite
you to become a member of
Permaculture Cairns and to be part of our dynamic
team. We
encourage members to get involved, make the group enjoyable
for
everyone and to genuinely create an impact on the environment by taking
responsibility for the wellbeing of our planet, its resources and the
future of our generations. 12 Month memberships are available at $20
for a single adult and $30 for a family.
We now have a fantastic central, family
friendly
venue at the Cairns Saints AFL club rooms for our meetings. The club
rooms adjoin Griffiths Park, which is directly behind Sportsworld
fitness center. The club rooms have wonderful facilities including a TV
& DVD player, full bar, BBQ, children’s playground
and one of
the best sunset views in Cairns.
To make the most of this we’ve decided to change the meeting
time
from 7pm to 6pm, which we hope will encourage more people, especially
families, to attend. A shared meal, whereby each person brings a plate
of food to share (Pot Luck) will also be a regular part of our monthly
get together.
Our meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month (except January)

Turn left into Monk St. (off Hoare St.) when coming from
town.
